Bio

Jay Madhav was born in London, but grew up in Vancouver, Canada. Jay started acting in Vancouver in the mid-eighties and appeared in numerous American and Canadian TV series shot throughout Canada . Jay attended college as a Theatre major and later earned an MBA.

Although he started acting in Vancouver , he now lives in Los Angeles where he has appeared on General Hospital as Dr. Morris, and on MTV, and several medical dramas on The Learning Channel (TLC).

After completing his MBA, Jay worked for several Fortune 50 companies and has run a successful consulting practice. There's a great deal from his business background that he has used to further his presence in the entertainment industry, particularly in how he markets himself. Jay maintains his professional pursuits as a working actor in Hollywood , and he is currently writing a book on marketing for actors, which is scheduled to be published later this year.

Jay is also an accomplished rock guitarist and his band's music has been played on numerous radio stations in the Los Angeles area. Jay has recently ventured into film producing by forming his production company Dark Arts Productions (www.DarkArtsFilms.com). 'Dark Arts' is currently producing several feature length and short films for theatrical release, cable TV, and several major festivals.

On a personal note, jay is always open to new experiences and challenges. He prides himself on being an individual guided by integrity and a person who values the diversity among people's backgrounds and experiences. Jay is an animal rights advocate who has two adopted dogs rescued from local shelters, he is an avid ice hockey fan, and a dedicated athlete who participates in a variety of sports.
